Who can enter?
This category is open to any regional radio station which has broadcast music content during 2008, regardless of genre, geographical location or size. Candidates should note that this category is open to analogue, digital and online radio stations.

Stations which have entered the National category as a ‘radio brand’ may also enter the Regional category with their individual stations but may only use regional RAJAR figures if applicable.

What will the judges be looking for?

  • Broadcast and promotional activity
  • Digital/online innovation
  • Quality of content - including range, and frequency of updates
  • Innovative programming ideas
  • Creativity and ingenuity in reaching target audience using the resources available
  • Quality of marketing - including branding of station, presentation of key DJs and efforts made to broaden the listenership
  • Overall success of the station in achieving its objectives in terms of their music policy.
